All SDUSD high school students participating in IMIN are invited to compete in the largest high school competition in San Diego. Participation is free. Performances and art will be judged by experts, and winners will be announced during an awards gala from 6-8pm. Prove that you are the best of the best in San Diego at the IMIN Showdown.

General Rules

Performers are only eligible to compete in two performance categories: one group and one solo competition.

Artists may only submit one art piece for each exhibit category.

Only original student ideas and artworks will be accepted.

All registered individuals must be available during the day on May 30 for their preliminary performance.

Competition Registration Details

Competitors must be approved to compete by their IMIN site lead.

Registration packets will be available for pick-up and submission through your site lead from April 15 – May 11.

Selected performances and art installations will be notified by May 18.

Selected performance media, props, and art installations must be submitted to site lead by May 22.

Non-Performer and Spectator information

Non-performing spectators are welcome for the entirety of the event. Spectators can attend all daytime performances, art gallery, and evening awards gala free of cost. Space during the awards gala is limited, and will be based on a first-come first-serve basis. Priority will be given to students up for an award.

Transportation and Parking

Performers, families, school staff and spectators are recommended to utilize public transportation options. SDSU provides a centralized trolley stop, and parking will be available in structure 4. The IMIN program will provide pick-up and drop-off at participating schools via bus transportation (Bus schedule available following registration).
